Dare Devil Ellie

Our baby coffee group had a beach birthday party for all the kids a few weeks ago. It is always fun to watch all the kids play or take toys from each other. Eating is always messy. They never want their food and will eat very happily others food even if it is the same thing their mum brought.

Ellie is stand on the trolley that is meant to be pushed. The second picture she is showing off to a friend.

Such a Girl

Ever since the first time Grandma introduced Ellie to a handbag, she instinctly knew how to hold it. Over the shoulder is goes. Ellie left her US handbag at Grandma’s with one of her favorite cars inside. Victoria bought the NZ bag for $2 at the farmers market and Ellie takes it around the house wherever she goes.

Dinner with our Kiwi Family

Every Friday night Rose and the girls come over for dinner. Jazmin and Danielle love playing with Ellie and her toys. Ellie crawls after them and puts herself in the middle of the action. After dinner, one of the girls gets to help change, bathe, and pick out Ellie’s pajamas.

Sitting Foward

Ellie hit another milestone last weekend. She now sits facing forward in the car. Her first reaction was a combination of surprise and confusion. For the rest of us, it makes her singing much louder!

Talking

Every morning, after her milk, Ellie tells Mum and I stories in bed. We can’t understand these stories, but Ellie talks and talks. She is so excited and animated when telling these stories. She doesn’t stop there. All day long she talks to us or to herself as she plays. She is repeating simple words that we say to her, but she is not using them by herself yet.

Finger Prints

When we are at the house, Ellie spends time out on our front balcony keeping cool and making high pitch sounds at the neighbors. She has realized that she can drop things off the balcony on to the ground or my car. I had a Fisher Price Little Person on my windshield yesterday.

It’s been hot here lately. This weekend we spent a lot of time around water, swimming twice in a pool (Victoria and Ellie swam together) and another long swim in the ocean.

Brushing My Teeth

Ellie loves her toothbrush and gets excited when she sees mum and I brushing our teeth. She doesn’t mind when we help her but she is happy to do it by herself if necessary. I once tried the electric tooth brush to see what her reaction would be and to my disappointment she just let me.

Ellie’s Morning Marks

Ellie woke up from her morning nap today with some red marks on her face. Victoria soon realized that poor Ellie had slept with the dummy under her face.

Chrismas Day

Ellie had a big choice to make at Grandma and Grandpa’s house on Christmas. Presents or bows? She chose the bows on Christmas Day and had many in her hands and hair. The presents won in the long term as she is still playing with them.
