Spike's Birthday

Ellie was happy to find out that Spikes Birthday was coming up very soon.  She told us what type of cake Spike wanted and that he needed some presents.  Since Ellie is “friends” with Spike, she would be able to help him blow out the candles and open his presents since he doesn’t have hands.

Ellie had one of her best friends over on Spike’s Birthday.  They helped in the kitchen by icing the cake and also helped Spike blow out his candle and with Victoria.

Moon

Ellie had some thoughts about the moon a few nights ago.  These are her words:
“Round pretty moon”
“An egg moon, has little crack”
“Inside little blue birdy”

Ellie-plane

Ellie used her airplane arms to take her across the grass to the large rock where she landed and proceeded to pick up the rock and carry it over to the steps.  That’s one strong girl!

Wild Flowers

Ellie will run and run around the yard and paddock but will always stop to pick the wild flowers.  She will pick a few of them and save them in a pocket (Victoria’s, mine, or hers) to share with us at the house.  Ellie also collects pine cones and shared one with a boy that came over with his family for dinner.

Ellie found a rainbow in our kitchen one morning and ask me to take her picture with it.

Grandparents visit

Ellie loved the attention from her Grandma and Granddad during their visit.  We all went to a special beach to collect shells were Ellie conveniently handed her shells to Grandma and Granddad to hold and carry for her.   Then before they left, they helped Ellie plant some bulbs.  She can’t wait until spring when her flowers will appear.

Swimming

Ellie loves water from any source; beach water, rain water, bath water, or pool water.  If there is water around, Ellie will find it.  These pictures were taken at Ellie’s best pool with my parent’s underwater digital camera.  As you can see, she has no fear and happily goes under water, does somersaults, and try’s to swim like a dolphin (which is now part of her name “Ellie Dolphin”).
