Big Sister, Ellie

Ellie loves her little brother.  She calls Cooper, “Little Man”.  She always wants to go into his room to get him up and will go and say goodnight to him every night. 

Always Helping

Ellie can make anything into a game.  I was out taking pictures of Victoria’s car before selling it and Ellie wanted to help.  She put stuffed animals on the car seats and cup holders.  Then instead of holding the reflector or catching the one that was blowing away in the wind, she decided to cover her head so I couldn’t see her!

Sellotape

Ellie thinks anything can be put together or fixed with sellotape.  She uses sellotape on her art projects and her wrapping of letters and art projects.  This day she decided her tongue needed some sticking!

Wands

Every fairy needs a wand and this lucky fairy has two.  She still hasn’t learned how to use her wand to clean up the big mess she makes!

2 Wheeling Ellie

Ellie has a new bike; it is pink and purple with streamers, a butterfly water bottle and a baby doll seat.  There is a school with a very large flat area about 10 minutes away which is perfect for a bike ride.  This day, Ellie had two friends riding with her.   There were a few crashes and many snack stops during the day.

Welcome Snailly

Snailly has joined Ellie’s two goldfish.  It is a golden snail that will hopefully help us keep the tank a little cleaner and was a reward for Ellie’s improved behavior for a whole week.   Snailly also has its own special food that we give it once or twice a week.  We have watched Goggly fish trying to eat Snailly’s food.

Ninja Car

Ellie was very surprised when our neighbor dropped off this battery powered Ninja car for Ellie. Ellie has learned that there are 2 speeds forward (Turtle and Rabbit) and one speed in reverse.  She likes going fast and has learned to drive it up the grass hill so she can speed down the other side.

This car was used by the neighbor’s grand kids some 15 years ago and needed new batteries.  He had given me the batteries some time ago to get replacements and then one day out of the blue drove down to our house and dropped of the car.

Artwork

Ellie loves her artwork. She creates art using clay, stickers, stamps, fabric, pens and paper.  She is into drawling rainbows and girls with rainbow hair.

Balance Beam

Ellie loves watching the Olympics and talks about how easy some of the things are that she sees.  From swimming faster, jumping higher or tumbling more.  She even practices synchronizing swimming in the bath tub.  Here Victoria gave her a board to show us how "easy" it is to dance on a balance beam.
