Winter Olympics

This was the first time Ellie was able to stay up to watch the winter Olympics.    She was excited each night to watch and to add to the excitement we made their cardboard box into a bobsled!

First Race

Ellie completed her first race.  It was 2km and her time was around 15 minutes.  She ran with a group of her friends and finished before some of them but not the fast boys.

Big Girl School

Ellie started Primary School this year.  After a few days at her new school I asked her a few questions.

  1.  What is your favorate thing about your new school? Getting to play straight after lunch.
  2. How is your teacher? She is better than I thought she would be.

After day 2, Ellie told Mummy: I don’t need you to walk me to class anymore.  You can drop me at the gate.  While she was confident that she was going to be ok, the next day she asked Mummy to walk her to class.  It actually took a few weeks before she would go alone.

Higher and Higher – Climbing Wall

This time at the climbing wall marked a big change in Ellie’s climbing abilities.  For the first time she was able to climb to the top of most of the walls she tried.  She had much more confidence and was even playing around on the walls!
