Halloween Candy

It seems like Ellie has been on a sugar high for the whole month of October.  (I really wish that was the reason why there is so much talking but she still talks nonstop without the sugar!)  Ellie is very much enjoying the Halloween candy packages arriving from the states.  I tried to scare her off the Cadbury Halloween eggs with the green goo center but she just wanted them more.

School Show

Ellie was excited to be on stage performing the Kapa Haka for parents at her schools art festival.  (Kapa haka is an avenue for Maori people to express and showcase their heritage and cultural Polynesian identity through song and dance. Wikipedia)

Hanging Around

Victoria was crazy enough to leave me with the kids for a weekend while she went away on a relaxing girl’s only weekend.  I heard a lot of noise from the lounge and when I went out to see what was happening, I found this!

Fairy Wishes

Ellie and a friend were very busy mixing up secret fairy potions.  I wasn’t told much but I did hear that a fairy was spotted in our back garden.

Laser Tag

Ellie was invited to a friend’s birthday party where for the first time she was able to play laser tag and video games.  I was very surprised on how competitive Ellie was playing laser tag.    She really wanted her team to win!
