Little Bits

At Christmas, I gave Ellie her first electronics set called Little Bits. On this night, I gave her a challenge to have the LED turn on when she turned out the lights.  It only took her a few minutes to put it together and then we tested her creation in her bedroom.  When she turned out the lights, her kit lights came on.  She was so excited that she created this all by herself.  Cooper wanted in on the fun and he turned on and off the lights many, many times.

Building

We purchased some big rolling drawers for under Cooper’s bed.  They looked simple to put together but Ellie and Copper both though I needed help.

Cooper style

Ellie has these big pads of paper that have a blank body on them to create people.  On this one, she wanted to draw Cooper and then came up with his style all on her own.

Lake - Part 2

During our holiday, Ellie spent most of her time in the water or on the water.  She was excited to find out that we could take the boat to the end of the lake and get ice cream, which we did twice this trip!  She even drove the boat back to the house. Her driving was much better then Cooper’s, who made us go in cirlces!

Sea Biscuit

Last year at the lake, Ellie rode in the sea Biscuit with her friends.  Since it was their first time they all took it easy and fun.  This year it was very different.  When two of them rode together they went fast and bumped over the wake a few times.  Then Ellie wanted to go faster and knowing that she loves roller coasters, they gave us a good ride.  Ellie had a blast! (Daddy did also!) Thanks Victoria for taking great pictures!

Lake - Part 1

Once again we were invited for a long weekend stay at the lake with our friends.  Ellie loves being at the lake, staying with friends and always playing in the water.  Cooper did really well.  He Slept in our room during the night but would play with all the kids in their room during the day.  Victoria helped them make a cool fort with sheets between the bunk beds.  Since Cooper didn’t like getting wet, it made watching him much easier as he didn’t go into the water like Ellie did when she was younger.  This was the first time being there that Ellie and her friends could just go and hang out.  They didn’t need us around to keep them busy.

Easter Swim

After all the chocolate and sugar during the morning, Ellie was able to burn off some of her energy in the pool.

Easter Egg Hunt

Before Easter, Ellie would talk about going to their friends house for our Easter Egg hunt.  Cooper didn't remember last years but he knew it was something not to miss. We went over there late in the morning and all the kids prepared for the hunt.  Each one of them had a basket or bag to collect all their eggs. The only rule was not to eat them and that at the end they would all share the eggs.

It didn't take long for their baskets to start filling up and it also didn't take long for them to "Sample" there finds.  The kids had a great time and Cooper found many eggs but he really wanted the blue ones and happily traded his for more blue ones.

Easter Morning

Cooper and Ellie were up early to see if the Easter Bunny found our house.  They were treated to filled Easter Baskets, new Pajamas, and some Shopkins.  Ellie wrote a message on her light box to the Easter Bunny and to her surprise and great excitement the Easter Bunny added letters to say "To you to".  Very cool Easter Bunny!  Cooper also brough out the Easter book we had been reading to him, to show us that the Easter Bunny comes in the earlier morning in his book also.

Ellie and Cooper were busy preparing for the Easter Bunny.  They each decorated a large paper egg and made little Easter chicks.

Photo Helper

Ellie was excited to come on another family photo shoot with me.  It was a very stormy day but this was the only day the family had free.  Ellie was very good showing the 4 year old girl what to do and keeping her busy when we were trying to take a few pictures of her 2 year old brother that really, really didn't want his picture taken.  These shots of Ellie were taken when she was showing the children how easy it is.  Ellie now charges me $10.00 plus snacks to help.

Cooper’s Birthday - Helping

Ellie was excited for Cooper to have his birthday.  She was a big help at the party with the games and presents.  Then after the party was over, a few of their friends stayed.  We moved the bag toss game outside where they could use a little more force when throwing.  Then Victoria improved the game by throwing the bean bags high in the air and each one of them tried to catch it with their buckets.
