Ellie hit another milestone last weekend. She now sits facing forward in the car. Her first reaction was a combination of surprise and confusion. For the rest of us, it makes her singing much louder!
Every morning, after her milk, Ellie tells Mum and I stories in bed. We can’t understand these stories, but Ellie talks and talks. She is so excited and animated when telling these stories. She doesn’t stop there. All day long she talks to us or to herself as she plays. She is repeating simple words that we say to her, but she is not using them by herself yet.
When we are at the house, Ellie spends time out on our front balcony keeping cool and making high pitch sounds at the neighbors. She has realized that she can drop things off the balcony on to the ground or my car. I had a Fisher Price Little Person on my windshield yesterday.
It’s been hot here lately. This weekend we spent a lot of time around water, swimming twice in a pool (Victoria and Ellie swam together) and another long swim in the ocean.
Ellie loves her toothbrush and gets excited when she sees mum and I brushing our teeth. She doesn’t mind when we help her but she is happy to do it by herself if necessary. I once tried the electric tooth brush to see what her reaction would be and to my disappointment she just let me.
Ellie woke up from her morning nap today with some red marks on her face. Victoria soon realized that poor Ellie had slept with the dummy under her face.
Ellie turned One today. It is so hard to believe that she is One. Time goes so fast. These pictures were taken about the same time one year apart.
