Walking on the Railing

During our evening beach walk, Ellie wanted to follow the path under the bridge to the other side of the road.  Once we were by the bridge she climbed up on the first board and made her way on that level all the way to the other side of the bridge.  While stopping from time to time to look over the railing to spot ducks, sticks, mud, and bubbles in the water.

Ellie’s words  “At the beach I was on the railing where the water and the ducks live. Closely under a bridge.”

Cheerio Holder

Ellie and I build this Cheerio Lego container to try to slow Cooper down from eating all his Cheerios before I was done making breakfast for everyone else.

Ellie’s words “Daddy had this idea to put Legos around Cheerios.  Because he can’t get in. The End”.

Cooper's Picture

Ellie couldn’t just let Cooper get his picture taken without getting in on the fun, or just getting my attention.  She wanted me to get a few pictures of her holding Cooper.

Don't Get Wet

“Don’t Get Wet”.  These were the words spoken to Ellie as we walked to the beach in the evening from our motel room.  When I reminded her at the beach about not getting wet, she said that she wasn’t getting wet only her feet were!

Climbing

Ellie was invited to a friend’s birthday party that took place at a climbing wall.  Ellie was a little nervous at first and stayed very close to me, which is very unlike her when she is around friends.  Once the children had their safety briefing, she was a little better.  The first wall she started with was a little too hard and she stopped and just watched her friends.  Finally, I had her try an easier wall and she was off.  From that point on, she kept climbing and was one of the last kids in the birthday group to leave.

Sorry, These photos were taken from my phone.  Next time I will bring my camera!

Ellie and Cooper

They will search for each other and make plenty of noise when they find the other.  If Ellie is laying down, Cooper will crawl on top of her and lay his head on her tummy.
