Swimming Update

Two weeks ago, Ellie had her swimming assessment from the head teacher.  Not only did she pass, the instructor said that she was getting much stronger and would be able to move up to the next class.  Ellie was excited to hear the news as she has made a friend in that class.   This is the class that I was excited for her to see a year ago because it was big kids continually swimming and improving their strokes.  Now, she is one of the big kids!  She did very well in her first class.  She was able to keep up with the other kids and had a good time.  She swam for almost the complete hour and then ate and ate the rest of the day.

Planning Cooper’s Birthday

Ellie was very helpful planning Cooper’s second birthday.  She chose his theme and then went shopping with Mummy and Grandma to pick out the decorations.

Pulling Teeth

Tonight, Ellie wasn’t going to sleep and kept playing with her loose tooth.  The second time she came out (almost 10pm) she was excited and told us that she made blood come out.  Then standing in front of us, Ellie pulled her tooth which made a loud squishy snap sound.  Victoria jumped, covered her eyes and said that was gross.  Then Ellie handed us her tooth.  

Ellie’s words:  About 10 at night, I was in bed playing with my loose tooth.  I got up out of my bed and came out into the lounge.  I showed my Mummy and daddy my tooth was coming out.   I pulled it out in front of Mummy and Daddy.  Mummy was scared because I had just pulled out my tooth. It made a squishy sound.  Daddy liked it and Mummy was so scared.

Preparing

Ellie and Cooper helped me prepare for my next baby photo shoot.  Ellie wanted to lie on the floor like a baby would for me to take pictures.  Cooper on the other hand wanted to run around not like a baby.  Later when Ellie looked at the pictures, she said “Look Daddy, you finally have a picture showing my missing teeth.” 

Growing a Bunny

Ellie grew this bunny from a little pill sized package.  She placed it in a bowl and added water. Every time she was in the kitchen she would check on it and then at night she wanted it in her room.

Climbing Up

Ellie is confident on the climbing walls.  She plans her path to get to the top and is happy to try the harder walls.  She will play op a wall as she is climbing either by hanging with arms only or jumping down part of the wall just to climb up again.
