Fourth Swimming Lesson

This was the first swim lesson that Ellie enjoyed or at least didn’t cry. She was also sporting her new swimming outfit. She has learned the dolphin dive and this lesson the teacher held a toy and a mirror under the water. Ellie dove down, deeper than ever before, with my help and came up empty handed. No problem thou, by the time the water was clear from her eyes the teacher had placed the toy in Ellie’s hand. Don’t worry about the statement “dove deeper”; it was at most 6 inches down. Then she floated on her back using my shoulder for support. During that time she forgot all about the swimming lesson and found objects on the roof much more interesting. I was hoping her attention span would be more like Victoria’s and not mine.

Ellie looks so relaxed in the water.
Maybe she will be on a swim team like her daddy was.
