Climbing

Ellie was invited to a friend’s birthday party that took place at a climbing wall.  Ellie was a little nervous at first and stayed very close to me, which is very unlike her when she is around friends.  Once the children had their safety briefing, she was a little better.  The first wall she started with was a little too hard and she stopped and just watched her friends.  Finally, I had her try an easier wall and she was off.  From that point on, she kept climbing and was one of the last kids in the birthday group to leave.

Sorry, These photos were taken from my phone.  Next time I will bring my camera!

Ellie and Cooper

They will search for each other and make plenty of noise when they find the other.  If Ellie is laying down, Cooper will crawl on top of her and lay his head on her tummy.

Tickling Cooper

Ellie’s tickles are not soft tickles but Cooper laughs each time she tickles him under the chin.

Things Ellie does at 5

She loves dancing and will take any opportunity to put on a show for anyone that will watch.  She is taking Ballet lessons and doing some dance moves that have surprised both Victoria and I.

In her swim class, she is learning how to breathe on her side and enjoys swimming under water.  She loves the water and will go swimming every chance she gets.  She has started a new swimming class on Saturday.  The teacher is still in the pool with them but they are swimming the long way in the pool and with very little help from teacher.

Since we live too far to walk to school, I park down the street and around the corner when I take Ellie to school.  Then we run all the way there.  There is a hill at the end but she has made it up running every time.  This running practice is making a big difference to her running as she was very slow at the beginning.

Easter

Ellie left a carrot, water and a note for the Easter bunny asking where he/she lived.  We found out the next morning that the Easter bunny lives on Easter Island down a very deep hole where it stores all the Easter Eggs during the year.

Yes, this post is just a little late!

Flower from James

Ellie’s marrying boy, James, gave her a flower at school.  She brought it home and asked us to place it in water for her.  She wants to keep the flower forever. (I think Victoria has put it someplace special for her.)  I am happy with her choice of James as his mother is a photographer and has the camera that I want!

At school, each girl has picked a boy to marry.  They change from time to time but Ellie has kept James around for a while now.  I was there one day when she said “Hi marrying boy” to him and he said “Hi” back.

Ellie has also told us her plan for kids in the future.  It goes like this:
“Ellie is going to have 6 babies.  She thinks the twins are going to born 8th of Feb. Boys and Girls. Also she is going to have the next pair 6th July. 2 sets of twins and 2 others.  I am going to make them into pair of twins by matching them in rows.  Then I am going to put them?  I think the next ones in July or August and next Feb 8th.”
