Flower from James

Ellie’s marrying boy, James, gave her a flower at school.  She brought it home and asked us to place it in water for her.  She wants to keep the flower forever. (I think Victoria has put it someplace special for her.)  I am happy with her choice of James as his mother is a photographer and has the camera that I want!

At school, each girl has picked a boy to marry.  They change from time to time but Ellie has kept James around for a while now.  I was there one day when she said “Hi marrying boy” to him and he said “Hi” back.

Ellie has also told us her plan for kids in the future.  It goes like this:

“Ellie is going to have 6 babies.  She thinks the twins are going to born 8^th of Feb. Boys and Girls. Also she is going to have the next pair 6^th July. 2 sets of twins and 2 others.  I am going to make them into pair of twins by matching them in rows.  Then I am going to put them?  I think the next ones in July or August and next Feb 8^th.”

Moving

We have been very busy selling our house and buying another one.  We are currently in the middle of our moving process, one week at a friend’s house and two plus weeks in a hotel until we can finally get into our house.  Since we are in between places I hopefully will find time to finally update the blog!

Talking

Ellie loves to talk and talk and if she has sugar she will talk even more.. We have been working with her to understand that she needs to let us or someone else talk.  Because of that she came up with the idea of telling us she has a question and now she comes up and says she has 2 or 3 questions.  I don’t think this will end!

Sheep Wrangling

Yesterday our neighbor came to our door asking for help wrangling his sheep.  Apparently overnight they decided the grass was greener on the other side of the fence, actually about 4 drive ways up.  Our job was to wait at the top of the drive, Ellie by the mailbox and I out in the street to coax the sheep into and down his driveway.  It was a funny sight, seeing the sheep walking down the street towards us.  Ellie held her arms up while holding the white fencing tape and the sheep went back down the drive.

I don’t have a picture of the actual event as we were in a hurry to help.  This picture was taken later that morning to show the outfit Ellie wore to work with the sheep. (She was showing me how a cat walks and I don’t remember why, while I was taking the picture)

Birthday Penguin

Here is a picture of Ellie showing off her birthday penguin.  On her birthday she came to work with me for a few hours and the clients I worked with that day also knew her.  They came in with a few birthday surprise presents including this penguin and lots of stickers.

Bucket Bath

It has been a hot and dry summer here.  We have been conserving water and limiting the baths.  Victoria came up with this entertaining, cooling and cleansing kid’s active and they love it!
